I came across this journal entry from sometime ago, looking at years past, and thinking about the dreams that each of us have. You might say, “That was a extreme dream, I guess that was not meant to be?”
You might say that because the dream seems out of reach and has not come to pass… or maybe we are not thinking “outside the box” like we should and have not pursued these dreams, because now they seem so big! To redeem to is retrieve or to restore… the dream, which is the vision…an extreme dream.
Extreme, by definition, is to the utmost; the very most; taking it to the farthest limit! Extreme is
completely “God normal.” In the Gospel of John, these words spoken by Jesus is a bold statement of truth. “If you ask Me anything in MY Name, I will do it!” Some people, would say, “That was normal ‘back in Biblical days’ but today it's different, don’t take it to the extreme.” Jesus’ statement of truth is just as applicable today as it was two thousand years ago. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!
Extreme, no completely God normal! We need to go completely "God normal" and hold nothing back! I want to give you several “God normal quotes." As you read these, ask yourself - is this extreme, or completely normal to you?! Ask yourself - does your life reflect this normalcy? Do you see yourself within the quote???!!!
“GOD has given us much in these last days, and where much is given much will be required!” - Smith Wigglesworth
“The world outside is not waiting for a new definition of Christianity, it’s waiting for a new demonstration of Christianity!” - Leonard Ravenhill
“The cross is not a mere event in history; it’s a way of life! Take up your cross DAILY, JESUS said! - John Piper
“It is either all of CHRIST or none of CHRIST! I believe we need to preach again a whole CHRIST to the world - a CHRIST who does not need our apologies, a CHRIST who will not be divided, a CHRIST who will either be Lord of all or will not be LORD at all!” - A. W. Tozer
“On Judgment Day, you and I are going to stand before God and answer for the gap that exists between where we are and where we could have been had we lived by God’s plan!” - John Hagee
“When it is a question of God’s almighty Spirit, never say ‘I can’t’!” - Oswald Chambers
“Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God!” - John the Baptist (Matthew 3:8 NLT)
Extreme, not at all, completely normal Christianity - being lived out in each one of us! Let’s make Jesus famous together - and redeem the dream!
