"Stay attached to the VINE in the One Nine!"
In the Gospel of John, Chapter fifteen, verses one through eight...JESUS describes to HIS Disciples that HE is the VINE and they are the branches. Without the VINE, there is no life in the branches. For us to not abide or remain attached to the VINE, would be like having our very own life blood pumping through us to sustain life, and then having it just stop..or cut off. It would be instant death...without the blood flowing through us, there would be no life! The same is true, if we as a branch are not attached to the VINE...there is absolutely no life! JESUS said, "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:1-5). Without staying attached to the VINE, your life would not be complete, nor would you sustain life, nor would there be Eternal life! So this year, make it a point to stay attached to JESUS, keeping HIM first place in EVERYTHING-
always!
In closing, I would like to share a quote that really grabs my heart and has brought concern to me for sometime. This quote was penned over a Century ago, by the founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth. As you read it, think about what he is saying as it relates to a Century later...in the year 2019 (in the One Nine!) as if Booth was prophesying to what was coming our way. He states, "I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without hell!" With this said, please for your sake, and the sake of the KINGDOM, stay attached to the VINE...JESUS has a plan..and HIS plan includes you, and for you to do great things for HIM! Come on!!!
